Note

You must have an Email Account configured in your environment to receive email notifications. See the Mail Account section for more details. 

Kyvos sends notifications for events, such as when objects have been modified. For example:

  • There are modifications to a semantic model

  • When a worksheet or dashboard is modified

You can subscribe yourself, and if you have the appropriate permissions, you can subscribe others to these notifications.

Setting up notifications for specific objects

For example, to subscribe to a type of notification from a semantic model:

  1. From the Toolbox, click Semantic Models.

  2. Right-click a semantic model, choose to subscribe, and then either Notify Me or Notify Others.

  3. When subscribing to others, provide one or more email addresses and click Add.

  4. Select an event type or type it into the Search box.

  5. Optionally, click theiicon to learn more.

  6. Choose from the available options by clicking the checkboxes.

  7. Click Save.

Setting up notifications for worksheet or dashboard

To set up notifications for a worksheet or dashboard, perform the following steps. 

  1. From the Toolbox, click Workbooks.

  2. Select a worksheet.

  3. Right-click a worksheet or dashboard name, choose Subscribe, and then either Notify Me or Notify Others.

  4. Choose from the available options by clicking the appropriate checkbox.

  5. Optionally, click the i icon to learn more.

  6. When subscribing to others, provide one or more email addresses.

  7. Click Save.

For example, to subscribe to a type of notification from all cubes:

  1. Click the Notification icon (bell) at the top right of the screen.
