To ensure the effective use of Kyvos and Kyvos Manager, as an administrator, you should perform the following post-deployment administrative tasks:

  • Configure LDAP: You can import LDAP users from your organization into the Kyvos Manager repository.
See the LDAP configuration for Kyvos Manager section for more details.

  • Configure Email account: For the proper working of the email function, you should have a valid working email account for sending email messages. To get an email from Kyvos and Kyvos Manager, the mail server and the port for SMTP must be accessible from the Kyvos Manager server and Kyvos.
See the Mail Account section for more details.

  • Run Sanity suiteAfter deploying the cluster, Kyvos recommends running a sanity test to check if all activities in the Kyvos application are functioning properly, such as creating a register file, building the cube, and so on.
See the Sanity suite section for more details.

  • Manage Cluster scaling: You can also manage cluster scaling to improve the utilization of your cloud cluster and save compute costs.
See the Managing Cluster Scaling section for more details.
NOTE: Cluster scaling is not applicable to Kyvos Single Node Installation.

Important

If you have created a new Databricks cluster and plan to delete the Kyvos Managed Application, you will need to delete the Databricks cluster separately.
