Important points to remember
With the 2023.3 Release onwards, Kyvos supports only the latest CDP version 7.1.8. Before upgrading to Kyvos 2023.3, you must upgrade to CDP version 7.1.8. If you want to proceed with a lower version of CDP (below 7.1.8), contact Kyvos Support for compatible release certification.
The port 8998 is required when upgrading the Kyvos cluster to version 2023.2.
Single click upgrade is not recommended for upgrading from 2023.1.x to 2023.2.x or onwards. You must first upgrade the Kyvos Manager, followed by the Kyvos upgrade.
If you use Oracle RDS and plan to upgrade to Kyvos 2023.2, remove the ojdbc8.jar from the kyvos.connection.classpath.common.jar property. Using the Properties link, you can search for this property on the Connections screen.
Your email template will be retained.
Ensure that Python is installed on all the instances. Use python --version command to verify.
In case python3 is installed, use the below command to create a soft link for Python.
ln -s /bin/python3/ /bin/pythonIn the event of an upgrade, rollback, or patch deployment operation that requires a restart of the Kyvos Manager, you may encounter a situation where you start the Kyvos Manager from a different location than expected. This could occur due to an error or any other scenario. In such cases, a message will be displayed, prompting you to click Start to use the previous application instance or click Continue to proceed with the current instance.
To avoid compatibility issues after rollback, you must perform a manual backup for the Kyvos external repository Instance before upgrading. To do so, refer to the Managing Kyvos external repository section.
