You can configure the update settings for a worksheet. The choices are automatic (default), manual, or update now.
Automatic means that any change, such as adding or removing a dimension or measure or applying a filter, causes the worksheet to update as soon as you make the change.
Manual means that updates you make in the setup pane won’t occur until you click Apply.
Update Now forces a reload of the content.
To change the update settings, perform the following steps:
From the Toolbox, select Workbooks, select a workbook and the worksheet you want to configure.
Above the chart or crosstab, click Update and choose one of the update settings.
