While creating a cluster in Kyvos Manager, you can save your data as a template for use in future cluster deployments. This section explains the procedures for working with Kyvos Manager templates.

Users with administrator rights can view, update, or delete any template created by any user.

Note

With the Kyvos 2023.1 release onwards, you can retain your email template when upgrading Kyvos Manager.

Viewing templates

To view or edit an existing template, perform the following steps:

  1. On the navigation pane, click Utilities > Kyvos Manager Templates.
    The Template page displays a list of existing templates.

  2. On this page, perform the following actions:

    1. Download: Click the link corresponding to the template to download it. The file is downloaded in .zip format. 

    2. Edit: Click the link corresponding to the template to edit it. For information in detail, see the Editing templates section.  

    3. Delete: Click the link corresponding to the template to delete it.

    4. Upload Template: Click the link corresponding to the template to upload it from your computer network. For information in detail, see the Uploading templates section.  

Editing templates

You can edit the template using the link provided corresponding to each template. 

  1. Click the Edit link corresponding to the template.  The corresponding Deployment Wizard is displayed.
    The Deployment Wizard is displayed.

To see details in view-only mode, click

the icon from the top right of the page. This displays the View Template page.
To edit the template, click the

icon. This displays the Cluster Creation wizard.

  1. Edit the information displayed in the wizard as per your requirements.

  2. To save, click

  2. To save the information as a new template, click Image Modified. Enter a name for the template in the displayed Save Template dialog box and click Save. The newly created template is added to the templates list.

    titleTip

    To download a template for later use, click the Image Modified icon corresponding to the template name. You can later upload it using the Upload Template button, for use in a cluster deployment.

Deleting templates

To delete a template, select the check box corresponding to the template name, and click Delete. Alternatively, click the Image Modified icon corresponding to the template name that you want to delete.

Uploading templates

Kyvos Manager allows you to import your templates. You can upload a valid template as a JSON file and use it for cluster creation. This particularly helps in case you have already saved/downloaded a template from your Kyvos environment.
To add an existing template file from your computer to Kyvos Manager, perform the following steps:

  1. Click Upload Template. This displays the Upload Template dialog box.

  2. Use the Upload Template field, to select and upload a template file from your computer network.

  3. Enter the Template Name and click Save. The template is added to the list.
