Once you have created resources for use in the Kyvos cluster, perform the following steps on each instance to allow custom hostname-based deployment.

  1. SSH into the instance using the command:

    Code Block
    ssh -i pem-file adminuser@${IP}
  2. Set a custom hostname for the instance using the command:

    Code Block
    hostnamectl set-hostname ${HOST_NAME}
  3. Make host entry on all instances:

    Code Block
    vi /etc/hosts

    For example
    Code Block
    ${IP} ${HOST_NAME}

    Here,
    Replace ${IP} with the IP address of the instance.
    Replace ${HOST_NAME} with the custom hostname that you want to use for the instance.

    NOTE: You must add the host entries on all the instances to be used in the Kyvos cluster.

  4. Restart the instance.
