Semantic Model: kyvos.process.compute.type

Description:

This property is used to select the compute cluster for processing semantic models.

Values and behavior:

• External Compute: Selecting this option allows Kyvos to utilize an external Apache Spark cluster, either on-premises or in the cloud, to process semantic models. However, this approach may result in increased costs and longer processing times.

• Kyvos Compute: When this option is selected, Kyvos will use its proprietary query compute cluster to process semantic models. This method will not require an external Apache Spark cluster, leading to reduced processing costs and time.

Syntax:

KYVOS_PROCESS_COMPUTE_SUBTYPE= External Compute

Default value:

The default value is External Compute.

Scope:

All clouds and on premises environment.

Comes into effect:

This will come into effect from the next data processing job.
