Node and services management

Applies to: Kyvos Enterprise  Kyvos Cloud (SaaS on AWS) Kyvos AWS Marketplace

Kyvos Azure Marketplace   Kyvos GCP Marketplace Kyvos Single Node Installation (Kyvos SNI)

Important

For Kyvos Single Node Standard (also known as Kyvos SNS) deployment in Azure Marketplace, the 'Node and Services' page will not be available.

From Kyvos 2023.3 onwards, you can now manage Query Engines nodes and disks that need to be attached to the Query Engine node directly from the Node and Services > Overview page. This page displays the number of nodes and disk details added to each Query Engine node and the number of configured services such as BI Server, Web Portal, and Query Engines on the cluster nodes. You can also view the specific details of these services.

This allows for efficient modification of the Query Engine node count and disk allocation without the need to create EC2 instances for cloud deployments. You can effortlessly adjust the capacity to handle peak demand times. Additionally, you have the ability to manage Query Engine nodes and disks based on query traffic and usage. These adjustments can be made swiftly and efficiently, resulting in an improved performance for the Kyvos cluster.

Creating a node for Azure Marketplace

To create a node, perform the following steps.

  1. On the navigation pane, click  Kyvos and Ecosystem  > Nodes and Services > Overview.

  2. On the Overview page, you will see the number of nodes, the size of the disk attached to each Query Engine node, and the number of service instances configured for the Kyvos cluster.

  3. Click Create. The Create Nodes dialog box is displayed.

  4. Enter the number of nodes you want to create, and then enter your Kyvos Manager password to create the node. The Node will be created and you will be redirected to the Operations page where you can view the status.

Terminating node for Azure Marketplace

Similarly, you can delete a node by clicking the three dots, and then click Terminate Nodes.

The Terminate Nodes dialog is displayed. Enter the number of nodes you want to terminate, and then enter your Kyvos Manager password to delete the node. The node will be deleted.

For other deployments

Similarly, for cloud deployments (Azure, AWS, GCP), and on-premises, you can add or delete a node.
