From the Toolbox, choose Semantic Model.
Select a semantic model and click Refine.
Click the Aggregation Strategy tab.
Choose a mode: Expert.
Set values for the configurations shown or click Recommend me to see what Kyvos recommends. You can see the selected levels of materialization. You can also see whether each configuration is the default, inherited, or modified.
Hover over the configurations shown and use the Action menu ( ⋮ ) next to the i symbol to specify whether to use the default or modified properties.
To learn more, click the i symbol for each item shown to view a description.
Click the ... next to the Selective dimension materialization to view the Selective Dimension Materialization dialog and see the available and materialized dimensions.
Make your selections and click Apply.
Click the ... next to the Selective hierarchy materialization to view the Selective Hierarchy Materialization dialog and see the available and materialized hierarchies.
Make your selections and click Apply.
Click the number shown for the Degree of materialization then select a new value if needed.
Click the value shown for Precompute threshold and enter a new value if needed.
If you clicked Recommend me, you can view the recommendations and click the ... to learn more for each item listed.
1. Click the i icon to learn more as well.
2. To learn more about the reasons, click Show Reasons.
3. Click Accept to accept the recommendations.
When you are finished, click Save.

From the Toolbox, choose Semantic Model.
Select a semantic model and click Refine.
Click the Aggregation Strategy tab.
Choose a mode: Smart.
Set a materialization level (low, medium, or high) or click the i symbol to learn more.
The system will automatically generate aggregates at the time of semantic model process, based on materialization level and available queries.
When you are finished, click Save.
