Authentication via LDAP or LDAPS
Lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP/ LDAPS) authenticates users by verifying credentials stored in a directory service. Administrators can create user accounts within a directory and map them with users in Kyvos Reporting for seamless authentication and login.
Configuring LDAP or LDAPS
In Authentication is Performed by, select External Application.
To configure LDAP or LDAPS, enter the details as:
Property/ Field | Comments/ Description |
Type | Select LDAP or LDAPS to authenticate users from an external directory service. |
Server | Enter the hostname or IP of the machine where the LDAP or LDAPS server is running. |
Port | Enter the port number of the machine where the LDAP or LDAPS server is running. |
User DN | Provide the distinguished name of the individual user. |
Search Filter | Enter the search filter to match the user ID with an individual user. Use <%USER_ID%> placeholder to dynamically match the user ID in the string. |
Admin DN | Enter the distinguished name of the admin with permission to query/ search users defined in the LDAP server. |
Admin Password | Enter the admin’s password if required. |
