Kyvos Upgrade Steps on Graviton Instances for AWS
Pre-upgrade steps
Before upgrading the Kyvos Manager, download the graviton.tar.gz file for the required release from the s3://us-east-1.kyvos/<releaseversion>/latest/prereq/gravitonjre.tar.gz location on the Kyvos Manager node.
Extract the tar file and rename the jre to jre_8 and jre17 to jre_17
To upgrade AWS Graviton, perform the following steps.
Upgrade the Kyvos Manager.
Note
As the deployment is with graviton-based instances, the Kyvos Manager upgrade will display the 502 bad gateway error after upgrade.
Navigate to the new Kyvos Manager path. For example, /data/kyvos/installs/kyvosmanager_releases/KyvosManager20xx.xxWar_ux64/kyvosmanager_war and take a backup of the Jre inside kyvosmanager_war/ path and delete the Jre folder.
Copy the Jre folder from the older Kyvos Manager war to the current Kyvos Manager war.
Start the Kyvos Manager from terminal and verify the Kyvos version and the zookeeper version.
After verifying, refresh the page and check all the services status.
Navigate to the /data/kyvos/installs/kyvosmanager_war/kyvosmanagerdata/server/repo path inside the repository folder and untar the tar file of Kyvos for that release.
Note
A Kyvos folder will be created, in which we have two JRE folders, take backup of those two files and delete them.
Copy the two JRE folders that you downloaded from S3 and renamed them (refer to step-2 mentioned in the Pre-Upgrade steps).
Create a tar of the Kyvos folder and delete the older setup file and Kyvos folder.
Go to Kyvos Manager and upgrade Kyvos and select the latest updated Kyvos bundle.
Upgrade Kyvos and check the status of all services post upgrade.
