You can configure the free space requirement for all the required partitions. Disk partitions free space check is performed in cluster operations, such as cluster deployment, Kyvos upgrade, patch deployment, and rollback.

Note

This is applicable to all cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, and GCP).

Points to know

  1. You can configure and specify the free space requirement for all the required partitions.

  2. Disk partitions free space check is performed while deploying cluster, Kyvos Upgrade, Kyvos Patch Deploy & Kyvos Rollback.

  3. The configuration is hot deployable, which means after file upload from KM UI in all applicable operations where this disk partition check is involved, the newly applied changes in the file will be considered.

  4. The name of the file is diskValidationsMetadata.json

  5. The location of the file is kyvosmanagerdata/server/userpreferences/

To upload the configuration file, perform the following steps.

  1. On the navigation pane, click Utilities > Manage Configuration Files.

  2. On the Manage Configuration Files page, navigate to the file that you want to update and click the corresponding Upload button.

Important

We recommend creating a backup of all the files that you are updating, as Kyvos may not preserve these files during the upgrade.

  1. Click the Choose File button to locate the configuration file from your computer network, and click the Upload button.

Important

You must ensure the correctness of file content before upload, as Kyvos Manager will not validate the contents.

  1. Click the Save button from the top-right of the screen.
