Creating MDX connection-based reports on MicroStrategy Developer

To create MDX connection based reports on MicroStrategy Developer, perform the following steps.

  1. On the MicroStrategy developer, choose the project and folder where you would like to create the report. On the folder, right-click and select New from the context menu.

  2. On the New Grid dialog box, select the newly created Databases instance from the Source list, and click OK.

  3. In the displayed Select Cube dialog box, select the Kyvos cube that you want to browse and click OK.

If you are not able to see the semantic models, click Retrieve cubes.

You are redirected to the New Report window.
