Kyvos Manager enables you to update the Kyvos license for an already deployed cluster. The Kyvos licenses now control system resources (memory) consumed by the Kyvos process (BI Server/Query Engine). This ensures optimal resource utilization. If upgrading from a version older than 5.0.1, then you must update the license for all existing clusters.

You can view, download, or generate the combined license file for all the nodes designated as either BI Server or Secondary BI Server in the cluster from the Kyvos Manager.

For this, click the cluster name > License  > Kyvos License on the navigation page.
The page displays information about the existing license.

On the License page, you can do the following:

  1. Click the generate and download license request file link to request a new license. The file downloads on your computer.

  2. Email this file to support@kyvosinsights.com. The Kyvos Support team will share a new license with you.

  3. If you already have a license, or once you receive the new license file, use the Change License link to select the license file from your computer.

  4. The license will be uploaded at a temporary location. Click the Apply button to apply for license details.

Note

  • You MUST restart the BI Server for the new license to come into effect.

  • From Kyvos 2023.3 onwards, you can see the last operation details, including progress status and start time.  To view more comprehensive details, simply click the  View Details link, which will take you to the  Operations  page where you can view the operation information in detail.
