To use raw data in your Kyvos configuration, ensure the following:

  • On the Connection that you want to use, ensure that the Is Default SQL Engine option is selected.

    • Kyvos allows you to use Athena (only for AWS), Hive, Presto, Snowflake, Databricks SQL Warehouse (only for Azure), or Spark connections for raw data querying (SQL querying).

    • You will see the option to Enable raw data querying on the semantic model designer only when the Is Default SQL Engine option is selected for the connection.

  •   If you want to switch from one connection type to another, clear the Is Default SQL Engine checkbox in the currently used connection, then select this checkbox in the connection type you want to use.

To configure the connection, see Working with data connections.

To enable raw data for querying, see Working with non-materialized or raw data semantic models

Note

The value of RAW_DATA_QUERYING_ENABLED property should be set to true  in the olapengine.properties on the Kyvos Manager.
