Important

You must have Email Account configured in your environment to receive email notifications. See the Mail Account section for more details.

This section describes alerts, notification configurations, and how to set up rules that specify alert and warning threshold levels for CPU, disk, and memory utilization.

Subscribing users for email notifications

You can send notification emails when you set the alert and warning threshold levels for CPU, disk, and memory utilization. Additionally,  you can also receive on-screen email notifications that provide you with timely information about the status of Kyvos services, CPU, Disk, Memory, notifying you when they go down and come back up.

To send notification emails, perform the following steps.

  1. Click the Alerts (bell) icon on the top-right of the page and click  Manage Subscriptions. The Manage Subscription page is displayed.

  2. Click the Subscribe Users tab. You can do the following:

    1. To send notifications to all users registered with Kyvos Manager: Click All Users to send notification emails. The Send notification email for checkbox is selected by default, and an alert email message is sent to the Kyvos Manager users.

    2. To send notifications to single user registered with Kyvos Manager: Click the Select User button () and then select the user from the list.
NOTE: Before selecting a single user using the Select User button ((blue star)) you must clear the Send Notification email for checkbox selected for All Users.

You can also search for the user by typing the user name in the search box. Click Add, and the user is added to the list. After adding the user to the list, go to the Node Usage section and select the checkboxes for the desired notifications to assign them to the user. Similarly, select the checkbox for the Services notification you want to assign.

    3. To send notifications to users/recipients not registered with Kyvos Manager: E nter their email ID in the Enter space-separated emails to subscribe field, and then p ress the Enter key.  Click Add, and the email address is added to the list.  Similarly, you can add multiple email addresses.

  3. Click Save

Setting up rules for alerts

Alert configuration allows you to specify the alert and warning threshold levels for CPU, disk, and memory utilization. Depending upon the values configured, the tile displayed on the Dashboard or the Cluster Details page changes behavior representing the state as Running, Critical, or Warning.

On the top-right of the page, click the Notifications ( ) icon to view the list of all the events that occurred on the cluster.

You can set up rules to specify the alert and warning threshold levels for CPU, disk, and memory utilization. Depending on the values you set, Kyvos Manager sends alerts if the utilization of CPU, disk, and memory reaches the threshold levels.
