Folders allow you to organize your data and show up in the same lists as object names. Folders also make sharing related items with a group or specific users easy. Once you share a folder, the users or group can access all of the items in the folder.

Info

Using folders is almost the same as working with other object types, but there are slight differences that depend on the user's privileges.

Depending on your permissions, you can do the following actions with folders:

  • Add
  • Rename
  • Delete
  • Share or Stop Sharing

To add a folder, perform the following steps.

  1. From the Toolbox, click the object type you want to work with.
  2. Click the Actions menu (  ) at the top of the folder column and choose Add Folder.
  3. Enter a name and click Add.

To delete a folder, perform the following steps.

  1. From the Toolbox, click the object type you want to work with.
  2. Right-click the folder name from the list and click Delete.
  3. Click Delete to confirm.

Warning

You will see a warning message if you delete any folder. However, the system will not check for any related items. For example, if there is a worksheet based on data in this folder.
