Kyvos provides a selection of default number formats which include numbers, currency, percentage, scientific, and custom.

  • Kyvos supports naming semantic model entities in the   ENTITY_   format, such as   DIMENSION_ ,  DIM_ ,   and   MEASURE_ , and so on.

To change the format, perform the following steps. 

  1. From the Toolbox area, select Semantic Models.

  2. Select a semantic model from the list, and from the Design tab, select a measure from the Measures column.

  3. View the Properties for that measure on the right side of the page.

  4. Select the Visible checkbox to make the field visible in worksheets. Click the i icon to learn more.

  5. To change the Format, click the Actions menu () button. Click the i icon to learn more.

  6. Choose the desired format type from the list and enter relevant values.

  7. Click Apply.

Hiding Dimension column 

Some dimension columns (levels or attributes) in the semantic model are used only as calculated expressions and are not useful for business analysis. You can hide such dimensions from the Kyvos UI on the Semantic Model Designer page. Hence such hidden dimension columns are unavailable for business users for visualization on Kyvos UI or any third-party tool.

When you hide a Dimension column, all the levels are hidden automatically. You can also hide columns at a hierarchy or an attribute level but cannot hide columns at a level stage.

To hide the Dimension column, perform the following steps. 

  1. From the Toolbox area, select Semantic Models.

  2. Select a semantic model from the list, and from the Design tab, select a dimension from the Dimension column.

  3. View the Properties for that dimension on the right side of the page.

  4. Clear the Visible checkbox to make the field invisible in worksheets. Similarly, select the Visible checkbox to make the field visible in worksheets. Click the i icon to learn more.
