A MicroStrategy dossier is an interactive display that you can create to showcase and explore business data. You can add simple visual representations of data (called visualizations) to the dossier. Kyvos supports MicroStrategy dossier as a visualization tool.
Creating dossier using Kyvos as a data source
To create a dossier using Kyvos as a data source, perform the following steps.
You can use the same steps for both MicroStrategy Desktop and Web.
On the MicroStrategy Desktop home page or any folder page, click Create, and then select New Dossier. This creates a dossier with a single blank visualization.
To import data into the dossier to use as a dataset, click the Add New Data icon , and select the New Data
In the data sources, click the Database (access data from tables) icon , to access the ODBC System DSN.
From the Select Import Options dialog box, select the Build a Query option, and click the Next button. This displays the Data Source dialog box.
Enter the information as described here.

Tips
Set the Attributes and Metrices as per your semantic model's attributes and metrices. In case any of your metrics are displayed in the Attributes list, drag and drop them to the Metrices list. If attributes are moved into metrices or vice versa, the system displays error messages.
Click the Finish button. The Data Access Mode dialog box is displayed.
Select the Connect Live option. This will prevent the in-memory import of data, and the request will be served directly from the local computer.
Important
You cannot use Kyvos measure fields as dimensions and vice versa unless they are defined in the semantic model separately.
