Kyvos now supports a new visualization in the form of a Waterfall chart. A waterfall chart is a data visualization that shows how an initial value is affected by a series of intermediate positive or negative values.
The Waterfall chart supports:
0 or 1 dimension on the X-Axis shelf.
1 or many measures on the Y-Axis shelf: If a dimension is dropped on the X-Axis shelf, then a separate value axis will be created for each measure dropped on the Y-Axis shelf to show the waterfall effect. If there is no dimension on the X-axis, then all the measures will be plotted on the X-axis, and the measures will be used to show the intermediate positive and negative values.
The Color, Size, and Detail shelf will be disabled for this chart.
A new chart property called ‘Color Configuration’ is used for the Waterfall chart. This property is used to specify ‘Up Color’ and ‘Down Color’ to show the positives and negatives of a waterfall chart.
If highlighting is applied to any measure or dimension, the highlighting color would take precedence over the ‘Up’ and ‘Down’ colors of the Waterfall chart.
Stacking functionality will not be available for this chart type due to a single series.
Waterfall charts can be exported from worksheets and dashboards in PDF and CSV formats. This chart can even be exported from the dashboard in an Image format. The image-supported formats are JPEG and PNG.
