Opening an object

Once you identify the object you want to use, you can click the name to open it. You can also right-click the object name in the list to see what other options are available.

To open an object, perform the following steps. 

1. From the Toolbox, click an item. For example, click Semantic Models.

2. Select a folder or use Search to type a name to quickly find it.

3. Click the object name to open it.

You can also make changes to the underlying source files for a registered file or a semantic model.

To open the source file used in an object, perform the following steps.

1. From the toolbox, click an item. For example, click Semantic Models.

2. Select a folder or use Search to type a name to quickly find it. 

3. Right-click an object name and choose Open in New Window.

4. Make your changes, close the window, and return to the original file.
