Formatting columns
Applies to: Kyvos Enterprise Kyvos Cloud (SaaS on AWS) Kyvos AWS Marketplace
Kyvos Azure Marketplace Kyvos GCP Marketplace Kyvos Single Node Installation (Kyvos SNI)
When working with datasets, for example, you have control over how the columns are formatted. For example, you can set properties for specific columns that include whether the column is shown or hidden. You can also specify the relationship key and other details about the format. Then, you can preview your changes and easily filter the data to avoid unnecessary data processing. See Logic for creating relationships and semantic model.
To format columns, perform the following steps.
From the Toolbox, select the object type, such as Datasets.
Select a registered dataset.
Click Refresh.
All the columns in the file are displayed.
To format a column, click the column name, and the Column Properties are displayed.
Use Hide Column to hide the column.
Set the Relationship Key to Primary or Foreign.
You can change the field name if needed.
To learn more about the data type and subtype, see Formatting, sorting, filtering file data while registering datasets.Change the data type or subtype if needed by choosing from the list.
Click the Incremental identifier checkbox to identify incremental data for subsequent processes. The current value will be used to filter the next process data.
Click the value shown in the Format field. Change the value–for example, from 0 to 0.00.
Or, click the Actions menu (...) to change the format type.
See Format for date and time fields for further information. Not all data types can be formatted.
