You can configure the update settings for a worksheet. The choices are automatic (default), manual, or update now.

  • Automatic means that any change, such as adding or removing a dimension or measure or applying a filter, causes the worksheet to update as soon as you make the change.

  • Manual means that updates you make in the setup pane won’t occur until you click Apply.

  • Update Now forces a reload of the content.

To change the update settings, perform the following steps: 

  1. From the Toolbox, select Workbooks, select a workbook and the worksheet you want to configure.

  2. Above the chart or crosstab, click Update and choose one of the update settings.
