Embedding Kyvos with third party application

Applies to: Kyvos Enterprise  Kyvos Cloud (SaaS on AWS) Kyvos AWS Marketplace

Kyvos Azure Marketplace   Kyvos GCP Marketplace Kyvos Single Node Installation (Kyvos SNI)

You can easily integrate the Kyvos Web Portal into your enterprise application for a seamless user experience. Kyvos installs directly on clusters located in both cloud and on-premise environments. It offers native support for all major cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and the latest releases of Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR, and Apache Hadoop.

Furthermore, you can effortlessly embed the Kyvos Web Portal with a third-party application through Kyvos Manager.

To embed Kyvos with a third-party application, perform the following steps.

  1. On the navigation pane, click Security > Network Communication.
The Network Communication page is displayed.

  2. Click the Actions menu (...) and select the Configure Embedded Mode option.

  3. In the Access URL for Kyvos Web Portal field, enter the space-separated URL of the host applications from where you want to open the Kyvos Web Portal.

  4. In the Cookie Processor Attributes field, specify the attributes, such as same-site cookies, that you want to add for embedding the Kyvos Web Portal. You can also add more attributes using the plus icon. Conversely, you can remove the attributes using the minus icon.

    1. None: This means that the browser sends the cookie with both cross-site and same-site requests. The Secure attribute must also be set when setting this value, like so SameSite=None; Secure. If Secure is missing, an error is displayed.

    2. Strict: This means that the browser sends the cookie only for same-site requests, that is, requests originating from the same site that set the cookie. If a request originates from a different domain or scheme (even with the same domain), no cookies with the SameSite=Strict attribute is sent.

    3. Lax: This means that the cookie is not sent on cross-site requests, such as on requests to load images or frames, but is sent when a user is navigating to the origin site from an external site (for example, when following a link). This is the default behavior if the SameSite the attribute is not specified.
For more information, see Mozilla documentation.
NOTE: A blank value will delete the attribute from the configuration and Kyvos Web Portal.

  5. Enter your application password to continue.

  6. Click Save.
