Managing Kyvos License

Applies to: Kyvos Enterprise  Kyvos Cloud (SaaS on AWS) Kyvos AWS Marketplace

Kyvos Azure Marketplace   Kyvos GCP Marketplace Kyvos Single Node Installation (Kyvos SNI)

Besides the validity of your Kyvos instances, the Kyvos licenses also control the system resources (memory) consumed by the Kyvos processes (BI Server/Query Engine), ensuring optimal resource utilization.

Kyvos Manager lets you update the license for an existing Kyvos cluster.

Viewing Kyvos License information

For this, click the cluster name > License  > Kyvos License on the navigation pane.

The Kyvos License page displays the current license information including the License Type, Start Date, End Date and the number of BI Server and Query Engine nodes available in the license.

Updating Kyvos License

To get a new license, you will need a combined license file. The Kyvos Manager allows you to view, download, and generate the combined license file for all Kyvos nodes.

On the Kyvos License page, perform the following steps.

  1. Click the generate and download license request file link to request a new license. The file downloads on your computer.

  2. Email this file to support@kyvosinsights.com. The Kyvos Support team will share a new license with you.

  3. If you already have a license, or once you receive the new license file, use the Change License link to select and upload the license file from your computer.

  4. The license is uploaded at a temporary location. Click the Apply button and restart the BI Server to apply the new license.

Note

  • You MUST restart the BI Server for the new license to come into effect.

  • From Kyvos 2023.3 onwards, you can see the last operation details, including progress status and start time. To view more comprehensive details, simply click the  View Details link, which will take you to the Operations page where you can view the operation information in detail.
