Ideal data process

Applies to: Kyvos Enterprise  Kyvos Cloud (SaaS on AWS) Kyvos AWS Marketplace

Kyvos Azure Marketplace   Kyvos GCP Marketplace Kyvos Single Node Installation (Kyvos SNI)

You can mark one of the successfully completed jobs as an ideal process, which will be used for comparing the job time of subsequent data processes. If subscribed, a notification email will be sent in case the next process is taking more time than the ideal process.

Processes will be compared with the ideal data process of that process type only. For example, if you have marked a full data process as an ideal process, then it will be compared only with full processes.

To compare, incremental, and update aggregates data process, you need to define the ideal data process for these data process types also.

Note

You can configure an ideal data process only when at least one successful process job of that process type is available.

To specify an ideal data process instance, perform the following steps.

  1. Navigate to the semantic model for which you want to specify the ideal process.

  2. Click the Process tab.

  3. From the list of jobs, select and right-click the job type and select the Set as Ideal data process instance option.

The process is shown with an Ideal tag, as shown in the following figure.

  4. Click the bell icon to subscribe to receive notifications if the elapsed time of the next data process for this semantic model varies from the ideal data process.
