Packed Bubble

A packed bubble visualization displays a large amount of data in a small space. Dimensions define the bubbles, and measures define the size and color of the individual circles. For example, use a product dimension to create the bubbles, the volume of sales to indicate the size, and color to indicate the profit. 

Points to Know:

  • From Kyvos 2024.2 onwards, the Packed Bubble maps are migrated from the D3 library to Amchart 5.

Using Packed Bubble

To select for Packed Bubble charts, perform the following steps.

  1. From the Toolbox, add a worksheet and then select a semantic model from the list. Similarly, you can also select an existing worksheet.

  2. Ensure that the Design tab is selected.

  3. Select the Packed Bubble chart type from the View Type list.

  4. Select a dimension or measure and drag and drop it to the Color shelf.

  5. Select a dimension and drag and drop it to the Detail shelf.

  6. Select a measure and drag and drop it to the Size shelf.
