Managing Portal Users
You can view the details of all invited users and see the subscriptions assigned to them.
In this section, you will learn the following:
Viewing user details
You can view a list of users invited to the Kyvos SaaS Portal. Clicking a user will display the following details on the right of the page.
To view users, click Users on the navigation bar. The Users page is displayed.
Role: Displays the assigned user role. Currently, all users are assigned with the ‘Account Admin’ role.
Subscription: Displays a subscription to which the user is invited.
Overview Tab: Displays user details you provided while inviting a user, such as the email ID, unique user ID, and the date when the user was invited.
Inviting a new user
You can invite other users to use the Kyvos SaaS Portal.
A new user will get an invitation email. Once the user accepts the invitation, Kyvos will automatically create an account for the user to manage the cluster, monitor cluster costs, view the analysis, and stop or start clusters.
To accept an invitation, perform the following steps.
Open the invitation email that you received from Kyvos.
In the email, click the Accept Invite option. The Kyvos SaaS login page is displayed.
Enter your invited email ID.
Click Log In. An email verification OTP is sent to your invited email ID, and you can view the following page to enter the OTP.
Note
Your account is authenticated using an OTP validation mechanism upon logging into the Kyvos SaaS Portal.
Enter your One-Time Password (OTP) and click Log In. The Kyvos SaaS Dashboard for Portal users will be displayed.
Inviting a new user to the existing account
You (Account Admin) can invite any other user to the existing account by providing the username, role, and name of the subscription(s) associated with the account.
Note
Currently, new users can only be added with the role of Account Admin.
The invited user will receive an email containing a link to log in to the SaaS portal. The link will expire after it is used once or after the expiration time has passed. Currently, the expiration time is set to 7 days.
When the invited user accepts the invite, they will be assigned a new role and associated access, which will allow them to perform activities according to the role assigned.
To invite a new user, perform the following steps.
On the navigation bar, click Users.
Click Invite Users. The Invite Users dialog is displayed.
Enter a valid Email ID.
Enter Full Name of the user.
Note
If a user is registered with Kyvos SaaS Portal, the Full name of the user will be auto-populated.
Select Role of the user from the list.
Click Add. A new user will get an invitation email. See the Inviting a new user section for more details.
