Job summary
Applies to: Kyvos Enterprise Kyvos Cloud (SaaS on AWS) Kyvos AWS Marketplace
Kyvos Azure Marketplace  Kyvos GCP Marketplace Kyvos Single Node Installation (Kyvos SNI)
Kyvos allows you to view job summaries for various jobs, such as semantic model processes, email jobs, cache population, data profiling jobs, process progress, and so on.Â
For example, the email jobs summary displays details of the sender and receiver for the worksheet/workbook/dashboard shared over email.
You can also download summary logs.
Once a job is complete, you can view the details in the job summary. No admin access is required to view the Job Summary.
The jobs summary shows the following items:
General Information
Job type
Job Number
Size on disk
Semantic Model Process time or Total time is taken (how long it took to process the semantic model)
Completion Time (date and time at which the semantic model process was completed)
Status: Success, Failed, or Partial Success.Â
In case of a partially successful job, the Measure Datasets which are not processed are marked as Partially Processed, and the dataset containing invalid rows is marked as [Invalid] .
Build Inputs is displayed in the Summary only in case of incremental build and shows:
Process - All Newer Data, Only Fact Adjustments
Replace partition - None, Auto
Physical view
Dimensions along with metadata size, hierarchy, levels, and attributes (if present)
Additionally, the summary also shows if there are any parent-child relationships, alternate paths, or custom rollups in the hierarchiesDimension count with types, such as regular dimension or time type dimension. In the case of the time type dimension, the hierarchy type, such as pre-defined hierarchy or custom time hierarchy is also shown.
Additionally, the summary also shows SCD member count
Count of distinct members/dimension
Count of rows read in from a file
Measures along with metadata size, functions used, IsAdjusted tag (in case of fact adjustment incremental build)Â
Partition strategy shows updated partition information (if Replace Partitions option is selected) and sliding window data dropped information (if new data is added and older deleted)
Details is displayed in the summary only in the case of update aggregates build and show the status and which partitions are updated, typically All.Â
Aggregation strategy shows details for aggregation strategy mode, precompute level threshold, and selective hierarchy materialization. Click Show Aggregates to view the details of each aggregate in a separate tab.

Errors or warnings if any
To view the job summary, perform the following steps.Â
From the Toolbox, choose Semantic Models.
Select a semantic model and click Process.Â
Do one of the following:
Right-click a build job from the list and choose Job Summary.

Navigate between different sections in the summary using the slider on the right. Click a section name to view the corresponding summary.
Download the semantic model process logs from a semantic model by using Download logs.
You can also Data Profile Result, and then click Download logs. The log file is not available until the build finishes.
By default, build logs are only stored for 30 days. You can manage this duration by specifying the value for
BUILD_LOG_PURGE_INTERVAL
property in theolapengine.properties
through Kyvos Manager.
Note
From Kyvos 2024.1 onwards, when you click Download Logs,' the process log files will be downloaded along with an HTML file containing information about individual-level job details, which are visible in Show Job Details.
With the Kyvos 2023.1 release onwards, during the Update Aggregate build, if some cuboids are successful and others fail, the build is marked as a Partial Success  with the percentage of successful cuboids displayed on the Job Summary.Â
You can also view the log details of the input cuboid versus the output cuboid along with Measure Datasets by using the Download Logs option on the Job Summary page. To do this, search for the Below is the summary of total input cuboids vs output cuboids per measureset-dataset content in the downloaded logs file.
To view details for individual jobs performed in a process, click Show Job details. The details are displayed in a new browser tab.
Note
From Kyvos 2023.2 onwards, you can view job details for fact adjustment jobs (running in a local mode, on the BI Server), including the job name, start time, end time, and total time. Click the Show Job Details link to view the details. Additionally, on the Show Job Details page, you can download the job logs.
To view aggregates, click Show Aggregates, and detailed information on aggregates is displayed in a new browser tab.
See the Consolidated Summary tab to view a consolidated summary of all the process jobs executed on the semantic model.
Click Close.
In the case of AWS deployments, the build summary will indicate whether Elastic MapReduce ( EMR ) is being created as part of the process.
Reporting an issue to Kyvos
From Kyvos 2023.5 onwards, you can report an issue that occurred during a query execution on the semantic model. You will view a Report an Issue link on the Job summary page. Click the link, and it will open a Report an Issue dialog box. The Job summary is attached by default. You can also upload additional details like log file if needed.
To report an issue, perform the following steps.
From the Toolbox, choose Semantic Models.
Select a semantic model and click Process.Â
Double-click the Failed status in the Status column, which will open the Job Summary dialog.
Do one of the following:
Right-click a build job from the list and choose Job Summary.
From the Actions menu (...) menu choose Job Summary.
In the Job Summary dialog, click the Report an Issue link at the bottom of the page.
