In case of a multi-cluster deployment, you can connect the shared Credits Database to the BI Servers of all the deployments (secondary or tertiary), as explained below.

To connect the BI Server to the shared Credits Database, perform the following steps.

  1. Navigate to the AWS Console, and open the Security Group of the shared Credits Database.

  2. In the Edit inbound rules section, add an inbound rule with the Custom TCP on port 45421 for the IP of the BI Server.
NOTE: This is the BI Server of the secondary deployment where you manually configure the shared Credits Database.

  3. Restart the OLAP engine.

Note

  • You must add an inbound rule for every BI node.

  • To manually connect to the shared Credits Database from the Kyvos Manager instance, perform steps 1 to 2, explained above. You must specify the IP address of the Kyvos Manager.
