Repeatable charts

You can create repeatable charts for XY family charts by enabling the repetition of the value axis based on Measure, Color Member, and a combination of Color Member and Measure. The repeatable charts will be displayed when exporting the worksheet or dashboard.  

• Users can now choose to display the value axis title on the value axis or as a header on top of the chart, in addition to the repeatable chart feature.

• When using a repeatable value axis, switching to the opposite axis for a single or some measures will not be possible. In such cases, all measures will be moved to the opposite axis.

• If a dimension is dropped on the color shelf and the value axis is repeated for each measure, the color for each color member will remain consistent on their respective value axis.

To create repeatable charts, perform the following steps.

1. From the Toolbox, select Workbooks, then select a workbook and worksheet. 

2. Select Design if needed. 

3. Right-click an element in a chart, such as a bar in a graph. 

4. In the Properties pane, choose Bar. The options to specify the legend settings are displayed.

   Open

   

5. From the Repeat Value Axis list , select any one of the following:

   1. Color Members

   2. Measures,

   3. Color Members and Measures

6. Specify the axis position.

   Open

   

7. To display the value axis title on the value axis or as a header on top of the chart, select the Show Value Axis Tittle as Header checkbox.

8. Click Save.
