Switching cluster mode

Kyvos Manager enables you to switch the cluster mode from YARN to non-YARN. You can choose to add nodes to the cluster or configure existing nodes to assign the role of Query Engine to them.

Important

Switching the cluster mode is an irreversible process that would lead to a change in cluster mode. Cluster Mode conversion from Non-YARN to YARN is not supported.

To switch the cluster from YARN to non-YARN mode, perform the following steps.

For this, click the cluster name > Kyvos and Ecosystem >Query Engine (in YARN) on the navigation page.
On the Query Engine (in YARN) dialog box, click the Actions menu (...), then click Switch to Non YARN Mode.
The Switch to Non YARN Mode dialog box is displayed.
On this dialog box, you can perform the following actions:
- Validate nodes to run Query Engine services: Click the link to verify nodes to run Query Engine services.
- Password: Enter your Kyvos Manager password.
