Managing Users

The user management feature allows you to add, update credentials, or delete a Kyvos Manager user account from the Kyvos Manager portal. For users imported from the organization's active directory or LDAP, you cannot change the password. You can delete the users from Kyvos Manager. However, the user will remain active in the LDAP account.

Adding a user

To create a new user, perform the following steps: 

  1. On the navigation pane, click Kyvos Manager Settings > Users.

  2. On the Users page, click the plus icon.

  3. Enter information in displayed fields as:

  4. Click the Save button to create and save the user.

  5. To add more users, repeat the steps.

Modifying user details

To modify user details, click the Edit User icon , make the necessary changes, and click Save.

Note

You cannot edit the Username for any user.

Deleting a user

To delete a user from Kyvos Manager, right-click the username and select the Delete option. This deletes the user from the system.
A notification mail is automatically sent to the user with the subject - Your Kyvos Manager account has been deleted.

Note

You cannot delete the pre-loaded admin user

Changing user password

To change the user password, perform the following steps: 

  1. Click User Profile > Change Password on the navigation pane.

  2. On the Change Password page, enter the details as:

    1. Existing: Enter your current password.

    2. New: Enter your new password.

    3. Confirm Password: Re-enter the new password to confirm.

  3. Click Apply to save changes.

Resetting forgotten password

To reset a forgotten password, perform the following steps: 

  1. On the Sign-in page, click Forgot Password.

  2. Select the relevant option from:

    1. I don't know my Password

    2. I don't know my User Name

  3. Enter the information in the displayed field and click the Continue button.

  4. You will receive the reset instructions on your registered email.

Note

You must have SMTP configurations set up to receive password retrieval emails.
