Upload Drivers

In Kyvos Reporting, you can add required driver versions to create a connection. This helps you specify the driver version as ‘Custom’ while configuring the connection settings and connecting the required version of the HIVE instance.

To upload driver versions, perform the following steps.

  1. Click the horizontal ellipsis (…) button. Select Upload Driver.

  2. In Files, browse and add the files you want to upload. The files must be in JAR format. Press CTRL and file names to select multiple files.

  3. In Target Path, provide the path where the file must be uploaded. The HIVE jars must be uploaded at the path ‘/HIVE/CUSTOM.’ Simply mentioning ‘CUSTOM’ after the database provider name in the path name will automatically create a folder named ‘CUSTOM’ at the required path.

Note

It is mandatory to provide the target path in order to create Kyvos connection in the format shared in point 3.
If files with same names exist at the target path, the selected files will overwrite the existing files. Otherwise, the files will be added.

  1. If files are already present at the target path, you can empty the path and upload the files selected in point 2. Select the Empty Target Path checkbox. The checkbox is enabled once you provide a target path.

  2. Click Upload.

The above steps will help you to upload your files.

After uploading the files, you must restart the Report Server and Web Client for the changes to take effect.

When the files are successfully uploaded, you must select the required ‘Driver Version Name’ or ‘Custom’ in the field Driver Version to connect to the Kyvos database with your preferred driver.
