When Kyvos Reporting is installed and run for the first time, it uses the default configuration. Let us discuss properties related to the configuration of Report Server and Client (portal) and how to configure email templates and customize configuration files.

Configuring Report Server

Report server’s configuration is achieved by setting properties associated with it. This is done on Server page of the portal. You need to have Super Administrator privileges to be able to configure properties in Kyvos Reporting. To open Server page, go to Navigate > Administration > Configure > My Server.

The information captured on this page is stored in the ReportEngine.properties file at the path <Kyvos Reporting install folder>\ReportEngine\Config. The system administrator can edit the properties in the file directly as an alternative to this page. If the properties are changed in the file directly, the Report Server will require a restart to assume new values.

Accessing the server page when Security is set to false

If Kyvos Reporting is running with security disabled, you can access this page by specifying the following URL in the browser’s address bar.

http://localhost/Kyvos Reporting/conf and then click the Server tab.

If you don’t find a property here, ensure it is rightly defined in the ReportServerProperties.xml file.

You may comment on a property in the file if you don’t want a property to appear on this page.
