PUSH
Configuring a push notification channel allows users to set preferences and receive notifications via push notifications on the Kyvos Reporting mobile application. The properties and settings required to configure a push notification channel are discussed below.
Once you configure a push channel, users must log in to their mobile applications to complete the setup process.
Active Channel
This property specifies whether to activate or deactivate push notifications. Select Yes to activate or No to deactivate notifications via this channel. If this channel is not activated, it will not be visible on the user preferences page.
FCM Account Settings
Kyvos Reporting uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) services to send push notifications to mobile applications. Below is the mandatory information required to set up an FCM account:
Service Account File
This file contains the authentication information needed to set up an FCM account. Enter the file content manually into the text area. To add a service account file, refer to the file provided along with the setup.
Message Settings
In this section, provide information about the messaging scope for the FCM push notification channel.
Messaging Scope
Enter the scope (type) of entities you want to receive through the push notification channel. For example, if you want to receive messages as push notifications, provide a scope indicating Firebase messages as the desired entity.
For example: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/firebase.messaging
Notification Sound
Choose a notification sound from the available options in the dropdown. In the current version, only the Default sound is available.
Once you enter the required values, click Test to verify if the channel is configured successfully. Click Save to save the setup or Discard to start fresh.
After saving the channel, you can click the Actions menu to Remove Channel, if necessary.
Note
You can configure only one push notification channel. To create a channel with different credentials, you must first remove the existing channel.
