Archiving - Reports Backup and Restore
Kyvos Reporting leverages the Archiving feature to back up all or selected saved (published) reports. This is especially beneficial for scenarios where database data changes frequently and you must preserve historical records for reference or compliance. The archiving functionality includes two primary activities:
Backup: To back up selected or all published reports.
Recovery: To restore archive files to the report server.
Backup
The backup process involves two main steps:
Filtering Reports:
Navigate to: Navigate > Administration > Archiving > Backup tab.
Use filters to narrow down the list of reports:
Specify date ranges in Date From and Date To fields using the date picker.
Click Refresh to display reports meeting the criteria in the Published Reports List.
Archiving Reports:
Once reports are filtered, specify archive details:
Archive File Name: Enter a unique name for the archive.
Description: Provide an optional description.
Password Protection: Enable this option for secure recovery, then enter and confirm a password.
Click Archive to create the archive. It is stored on the server.
Tip
