ToolTip Shelf

In the worksheet, any measures placed on the shelf are automatically plotted in the visualization. However, there are times when you may want to view the value of a measure without displaying it on the visualization itself.

For instance, a user analyzing sales by country might want to see the discount given in each country. Instead of showing the discount measure directly in the visualization, the user may prefer to include it in the tooltip for each country.

To accommodate this need, Kyvos now offers a "Tooltip Shelf." This feature allows users to display measure values solely in tooltips without plotting them in the visualization. By adding measures to this shelf, any measure placed there will appear in the tooltip for all visualizations.

Points to know

• Add measures to the Tooltip shelf to additionally view measure data in the tooltip on any data point in viz.

• The ‘Tooltip’ shelf should be enabled for all Charts.

• You can view Tooltip information on the measures in the 'Show Info.'

• All tooltip measures can be exported as a column in CSV and PDF (with tabular view) Export.

• All tooltip measures are displayed as a column in the Summarized view of the chart.

• On right-clicking of any measure in the Tooltip shelf, the following options are displayed:

  • Field Setting

  • Move To another shelf.

  • Delete
