MDX queries

The MultiDimensional eXpressions (MDX) language provides a specialized syntax for querying and manipulating the multidimensional data stored in OLAP semantic model. For example, see Creating expressions using MDX Linear syntax.

When creating the MDX query for a dataset, use metadata to select which column names and data types are used. You can change the format of the metadata using a Format step.
