Managing nodes and services
Applies to: Kyvos Enterprise Kyvos Cloud (SaaS on AWS) Kyvos AWS Marketplace
Kyvos Azure Marketplace  Kyvos GCP Marketplace Kyvos Single Node Installation (Kyvos SNI)
From the Nodes and Services > Overview page, you can manage scaling nodes for supported Kyvos core services (Query Engine, BI Server, and Web Portal).
Additionally, you can add or delete a disk for the Query Engine node (applicable for Managed Services for AWS and Marketplace).
On the Overview page, you can view:
the number of nodes for each supported Kyvos service
the total sum of disk storage details added for Query Engines and BI Servers.
This allows for efficient modification of the Query Engine, BI Server, and Web Portal node count and disk allocation for cloud deployments.
Nodes and Storage:
Nodes: count of total nodes in Kyvos cluster.
BI Server Storage: the total storage for BI Server nodes.
Query Engine Storage: the total storage for Query Engine nodes.
Kyvos Core Service Instances:
BI Server: count of configured BI Server service instances.
Query Engine: count of configured Query Engine service instances.
Web Portal: count of configured Web Portal service instances.
Kyvos Reporting Service Instances
Reporting Server: count of configured Reporting Server service instances.
Reporting Portal: count of configured Reporting Portal service instances.
Important
The Kyvos Reporting Service will be displayed only when it is deployed.
Using Actions menu
If you have node created for services, use add node. The nodes added using the Add option must be removed from the cluster using the Delete option. The operation name used for adding and deleting node are Add Node and Delete Node.
If you have node not created for services and scaling supported, use create node. The nodes added using the Create option must be removed from the cluster using the Terminate option. The operation name used for creating and terminating node are Increase Node and Decrease Node.
Important
The Kyvos Reporting Service Node option will be displayed in the Actions menu (…) > Create and Terminate if the environment supports Kyvos Reporting nodes scaling.
Scaling supported environment | Scaling not supported environment |
